MOREV GY6 6-Pin DC DIP Switch CDI Box with Adjustable Rev Limiter for 50–150cc ATV & Go Kart
Adjust your ignition rev-limiter setting with the MOREV GY6 6-Pin DC DIP Switch CDI. Built for selected GY6 50cc–150cc four-stroke engines using a compatible six-pin (4+2) DC-powered CDI ignition system, this module features a four-position DIP switch bank, eight selectable rev-limiter presets and a separate mode without the module's selected electronic rev limit. Suitable applications may include certain scooters, ATVs, go-karts, mopeds and buggies with matching DC CDI wiring.
Selectable Rev Limit Control
DIP switches 1–3 choose among eight rev-limiter preset configurations. DIP switch 4 selects limited mode or the mode without the CDI's adjustable rev limit. Use the exact chart printed on the module housing to match your preferred configuration; do not guess DIP positions. The label identifies the upper position of switch 4 as the speed-limit mode.
Removing the module's selected electronic limit does not override engine mechanical limits or guarantee additional speed, power or performance. Results depend on vehicle setup, engine condition and the rest of the ignition system. This is the DIP-switch limiter series, not the separate MOREV digital 9-Curve timing-map CDI.
Using the 4-Position DIP Switch
- Turn off the engine and ignition before accessing the DIP switches.
- Read the DIP Setting Guide on the CDI case.
- Set switches 1, 2 and 3 to the preset combination indicated on the guide.
- Use switch 4 to choose limited operation or the no preset rev-limit mode.
- Verify the switch positions and connector wiring before installation and testing.
GY6 50cc–150cc DC CDI Compatibility
Designed for select four-stroke GY6 engines equipped with a matching six-pin 4+2 DC CDI system. Engine codes commonly associated with this platform include 139QMA, 139QMB, 152QMI and 157QMJ. Applicable vehicle types may include selected scooters, mopeds, ATVs, go-karts and buggies.
Not every GY6 vehicle is compatible. Before ordering, confirm that your original CDI uses battery-powered DC ignition and compare its connector locking tabs, plug arrangement and terminal functions with the product photographs and wiring guide. GY6 AC and DC CDIs are not interchangeable. A similar connector or matching engine size is not enough to confirm fitment. CG six-pin modules and other wiring arrangements may also differ.

GY6 6-Pin DC Wiring Guide
The supplied diagram shows the terminal-side view and the following designated connections: Pin 1 pickup/trigger signal; Pin 2 ignition-coil output; Pin 3 ground 1; Pin 4 ground 2; Pin 5 kill switch/engine stop; Pin 6 power input. For MCDI024, Pin 6 is the DC battery +12V input. The shared wiring reference also describes AC systems, but this specific product is DC ONLY. Do not connect AC stator excitation power to this DC CDI, do not connect AC and DC supplies simultaneously, and confirm all ground and signal wires before powering the system.
Safety and troubleshooting: A CDI with the wrong current type or wiring can cause no-start conditions or damage. If the engine starts but operates poorly at higher speed, recheck the selected setting and the condition of the ignition coil, pickup sensor and other related parts. Installation by a qualified technician is recommended if you cannot verify the wiring.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does switch 4 do?
It selects between the available rev-limit operating mode and no preset rev-limit mode. Switches 1–3 determine the preset selection shown on the case.
Can I use this on a GY6 6-pin AC ignition system?
No. MCDI024 requires a compatible GY6 DC CDI system with the correct battery-powered input. For AC systems, choose the correct GY6 AC model instead.
Will this fit any 150cc GY6 engine?
No. Confirm electrical system type, six-pin 4+2 connector dimensions and terminal assignments before purchasing.
Does unlimited mode guarantee higher top speed?
No. It changes this CDI's selected electronic limiting behavior. Actual speed and safe engine operation depend on the complete vehicle setup.

ASK ABOUT FITMENTWhat do the DIP positions change?
MOREV DIP-switch CDI settings select rev-limit modes; they do not select nine ignition timing curves. Consult the instructions supplied with your exact CDI version.
How do I verify compatibility?
Check AC/DC system type, original part information, connectors and wiring. Similar-looking plugs do not guarantee compatibility.
