MOREV / FITMENT GUIDE

CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY.

How to Find the Right Part

Before replacing a motorcycle, dirt bike or ATV electrical component, compare more than its appearance. Use this checklist to review compatibility before ordering a MOREV part.

1. Identify your vehicle and engine

Record the vehicle manufacturer, exact model, model year, engine model and displacement. Two vehicles sold under the same series name may use different electrical systems in different years.

2. Check the original component

Look for a readable OEM/reference number, label, connector shape, number of pins and wire positions. Photograph the original component from multiple angles. Do not rely on the color of the housing alone.

3. For CDI ignition modules, verify AC or DC

An AC CDI and a DC CDI are not automatically interchangeable. Even when the outer connector appears identical, wiring and ignition characteristics can be different. Consult the original vehicle wiring diagram or ask a qualified technician if uncertain.

4. Check the product function

MOREV 9-curve CDI models offer nine selectable ignition timing profiles (1–9). MOREV DIP-switch CDI models select rev-limit settings. These are different functions, so choose the type listed for your application rather than assuming all adjustable CDI modules work the same way.

5. For rectifiers, relays and coils

Voltage Regulator Rectifier: confirm connector count, wiring arrangement, charging-system type and the exact replacement reference.

Starter Relay / Solenoid: confirm terminal layout, control connector, electrical specification and original part number.

Ignition Coil: confirm connector style, dimensions, mounting points and ignition-system compatibility.

6. Request a compatibility review

If you are unsure, visit Contact & Fitment Help. Include your vehicle and original component details in the inquiry. Photos can be requested later by email as needed.

Important: Model references and physical similarities do not guarantee fitment. Improper electrical connections may cause vehicle damage or unsafe operation. For installation, follow the vehicle manufacturer's technical guidance and use qualified assistance where appropriate.
