MOREV 9-Curve Backfire CDI – GY6 6-Pin DC
The MOREV Digital Adjustable Backfire CDI provides nine selectable ignition curve settings for the backfire effect. This version is designed for selected GY6 50cc–150cc four-stroke engines equipped with a compatible 6-pin (4+2) DC CDI ignition system. This is the Backfire version, separate from our 9-Curve Non-Backfire CDI and GY6 AC models.
Important: Modified Exhaust Required
A suitably modified exhaust system is required to achieve the intended backfire effect. Installing this CDI alone will not produce the intended backfire effect. Actual results depend on the engine condition, exhaust configuration, and overall vehicle setup. Exhaust popping or visible flames are not guaranteed. Modifications may be restricted by applicable noise, emissions, and road-use regulations.

Compatibility & Installation
For selected GY6 50cc, 125cc and 150cc four-stroke vehicles using a compatible DC-powered CDI ignition system. Engine families that may use this style of ignition system include 139QMA, 139QMB, 152QMI and 157QMJ, in some scooters, mopeds, ATVs, go-karts and buggies. Identical connector shape, engine displacement, or pin count alone does not guarantee compatibility. Confirm your original CDI's DC power supply, connector geometry, terminal assignments, wiring and available mounting clearance before purchasing. GY6 AC and GY6 DC models are not interchangeable.
Professional assessment and installation are recommended. Backfire may produce loud reports and hot exhaust gases; keep people and flammable materials clear of the exhaust outlet and follow applicable laws.

The nine settings select different ignition timing profiles. They are not nine fixed RPM limits. Choose a compatible setting based on the instructions for your engine.
Can I select a curve after the engine starts?
Yes, on this MOREV 9-curve CDI model the selected curve can be changed after the engine is started. Follow its supplied instructions. This model has settings 1–9 and no setting 0.
Can I use this AC CDI with a DC CDI system?
No. AC and DC CDI systems are not automatically interchangeable. Verify the original ignition power system, pin configuration and wiring before ordering.
Does a matching 5-pin plug guarantee compatibility?
No. Similar-looking 5-pin plugs may have different internal pin assignments or ignition requirements. Check the original CDI specifications, pinout and vehicle application.
