MOREV 9-Curve Backfire CDI – GY6 6-Pin AC
The MOREV Digital Adjustable Backfire CDI offers nine selectable backfire ignition curve settings for selected GY6 50cc–150cc four-stroke engines equipped with a compatible 6-pin (4+2) AC CDI ignition system. This is the Backfire version, distinct from the MOREV 9-Curve Non-Backfire CDI and GY6 DC versions.
Important: Modified Exhaust Required
A suitably modified exhaust system is required to achieve the intended backfire effect. Installing this CDI alone will not create the intended backfire effect. Actual results depend on engine condition, exhaust configuration and overall vehicle setup. Exhaust popping or visible flames are not guaranteed. Exhaust modifications may be restricted by local noise, emissions or road-use regulations.

For selected GY6 50cc, 125cc and 150cc four-stroke applications with a compatible AC-powered CDI. Engine families that may use this style of ignition system include 139QMA, 139QMB, 152QMI and 157QMJ, across some scooters, mopeds, ATVs, go-karts and buggies. The same plug shape, pin count or engine displacement does not guarantee compatibility. Verify the original CDI power type (AC versus DC), connector housing, terminal assignment, wiring and mounting clearance before ordering. GY6 AC and GY6 DC CDI units are not interchangeable.
Professional assessment and installation are recommended. Backfire can produce loud reports and hot exhaust gases; keep people and flammable materials clear of the exhaust and follow all applicable laws.

The nine settings select different ignition timing profiles. They are not nine fixed RPM limits. Choose a compatible setting based on the instructions for your engine.
Can I select a curve after the engine starts?
Yes, on this MOREV 9-curve CDI model the selected curve can be changed after the engine is started. Follow its supplied instructions. This model has settings 1–9 and no setting 0.
Can I use this AC CDI with a DC CDI system?
No. AC and DC CDI systems are not automatically interchangeable. Verify the original ignition power system, pin configuration and wiring before ordering.
Does a matching 5-pin plug guarantee compatibility?
