MOREV 9-Curve Backfire CDI – CG 6-Pin DC
The MOREV Digital Adjustable Backfire CDI provides nine selectable ignition settings for backfire effects. This model is intended for selected CG 125cc–250cc four-stroke vertical engines equipped with compatible 6-pin (4+2) DC CDI ignition systems. It is the backfire version, separate from the 9-Curve Non-Backfire series and the CG AC version.
Important: Modified Exhaust Required
A suitably modified exhaust system is required to achieve the intended backfire effect. Installing this CDI alone will not create the intended backfire effect. Actual results vary with engine condition, exhaust configuration, and overall vehicle setup. Exhaust popping or visible flames are not guaranteed. Check applicable local noise, emissions, and road-use regulations before modifying your vehicle.

Intended for selected CG125, CG150, CG200 and CG250 applications, potentially including some 156FMI, 162FMJ, 163FML and 167FMM engine configurations, only where the original ignition system is DC-powered and its pin assignments match. Examples include certain dirt bikes, ATVs and go-karts. Identical connector shapes or engine displacement alone do not guarantee compatibility. Check the existing CDI's power type, connector and terminal arrangement, wiring, and installation clearance before ordering. CG AC and CG DC units are not interchangeable.
Professional assessment and installation are recommended. Backfire may produce loud reports and hot exhaust gases. Keep people and combustible materials away from the exhaust outlet and follow applicable laws.

The nine settings select different ignition timing profiles. They are not nine fixed RPM limits. Choose a compatible setting based on the instructions for your engine.
Can I select a curve after the engine starts?
Yes, on this MOREV 9-curve CDI model the selected curve can be changed after the engine is started. Follow its supplied instructions. This model has settings 1–9 and no setting 0.
Can I use this AC CDI with a DC CDI system?
No. AC and DC CDI systems are not automatically interchangeable. Verify the original ignition power system, pin configuration and wiring before ordering.
Does a matching 5-pin plug guarantee compatibility?
