MOREV 9-Curve Backfire CDI – CG 6-Pin AC
The MOREV Digital Adjustable Backfire CDI offers nine selectable ignition settings for backfire effects. This version is designed for select CG-series 125cc–250cc four-stroke vertical engines with compatible 6-pin (4+2) AC CDI ignition systems. It is different from the MOREV 9-Curve Non-Backfire CDI and from the CG DC version.
Important: Modified Exhaust Required
A suitably modified exhaust system is required to achieve the intended backfire effect. Installing this CDI alone will not create the intended backfire effect. Results depend on engine condition, exhaust design, and overall vehicle setup. Exhaust popping or visible flames are not guaranteed. Exhaust modifications may be restricted under local noise, emissions, or road-use regulations.

Compatibility and Installation
Intended for selected CG125, CG150, CG200 and CG250 applications, including certain 156FMI, 162FMJ, 163FML and 167FMM engine configurations, only where the original CDI system uses compatible AC power and wiring. Application examples include some dirt bikes, ATVs and go-karts. Matching connector shape or engine displacement alone does not guarantee compatibility. Before purchasing, compare the original CDI's AC power type, terminal assignments, wiring, connector layout and physical mounting clearance. CG AC and CG DC CDI units are not interchangeable.
Professional assessment and installation are recommended. Backfire may generate loud reports and hot exhaust gases: keep people and flammable materials clear of the exhaust and follow applicable laws.

The nine settings select different ignition timing profiles. They are not nine fixed RPM limits. Choose a compatible setting based on the instructions for your engine.
Can I select a curve after the engine starts?
Yes, on this MOREV 9-curve CDI model the selected curve can be changed after the engine is started. Follow its supplied instructions. This model has settings 1–9 and no setting 0.
Can I use this AC CDI with a DC CDI system?
No. AC and DC CDI systems are not automatically interchangeable. Verify the original ignition power system, pin configuration and wiring before ordering.
Does a matching 5-pin plug guarantee compatibility?
No. Similar-looking 5-pin plugs may have different internal pin assignments or ignition requirements. Check the original CDI specifications, pinout and vehicle application.
