MOREV CG 6-Pin AC DIP Switch CDI Box with Adjustable Rev Limiter for 125–250cc Dirt Bike & ATV
Choose how your ignition rev limiter operates. The MOREV CG 6-Pin AC DIP Switch CDI is an adjustable ignition control module designed for selected CG125–CG250 four-stroke vertical engines using a compatible 6-pin (4+2) AC CDI system. A built-in four-position DIP switch allows riders and technicians to select an ignition-based rev-limit preset or the mode without this CDI's preset electronic rev limit. It is intended for matching dirt bikes, ATVs and other small powersports vehicles with correct AC ignition wiring.
Eight Rev-Limiter Presets and Selectable No-Limit Mode
The blue four-position DIP switch is arranged as follows: switches 1–3 select one of eight preset configurations, while switch 4 selects the operating mode. In the printed MOREV DIP guide, moving switch 4 to its specified upper position activates speed-limit mode; follow the exact label diagrams for each switch combination. This feature makes it possible to choose the electronic ignition rev-limiter behavior appropriate for the application.
No preset rev-limit mode removes the CDI's selected electronic limiter setting. It does not remove mechanical limits, eliminate other safety restrictions, or guarantee that the engine can operate safely at higher speed. Actual behavior depends on vehicle setup, fuel and condition of the pickup, ignition coil and other components. This is a DIP-controlled rev-limiter CDI, not the MOREV digital 9-Curve timing-map CDI.
How to Configure the DIP Switches
- Stop the engine and switch the ignition off. Never change settings while riding.
- Find the printed DIP Setting Guide on the back of the CDI.
- Set switches 1, 2 and 3 to the chosen preset according to that chart.
- Use switch 4 to choose the limited or no preset rev-limit operating mode.
- Double-check all switch positions before installation or powering on, then test the engine safely.
CG Engine Compatibility and Fitment
For selected CG125, CG150, CG200 and CG250 four-stroke vertical engine systems requiring a compatible 6-pin CG-style AC CDI (4+2 connectors). Common engine identification references include 156FMI, 162FMJ, 163FML and 167FMM. Some TaoTao, Roketa, SunL and Coolster dirt bikes, ATVs and go-karts may use similar engine families.
These model and engine references do not guarantee fitment. Confirm that your original ignition unit receives power from a stator exciter coil (AC CDI), matches the CG 4+2 connector geometry and uses the same terminal positions. A CG DC CDI and a GY6 AC CDI may use six contacts but are not automatically interchangeable with this module.

CG 6-Pin AC Wiring Reference and Installation Safety
The included CG terminal-side connection diagram identifies terminal 1 as pickup/trigger signal, 2 as ignition coil output, 3 and 4 as ground connections, 5 as kill switch/engine stop and 6 as the ignition power input. For this AC model, terminal 6 must receive power from the stator exciter coil, not a battery +12V DC line. Both ground terminals must be connected as specified in the supplied diagram.
Safety warning: The picture presents an AC/DC terminal-position reference, but this product is AC ONLY. Never connect both AC and DC power sources to the CDI, or substitute a battery-fed DC ignition system. A matching plug alone does not confirm electrical compatibility; verify the actual harness pinout and lock-tab orientation before installation. Incorrect connections may cause no-start problems or electrical damage. Seek assistance from a qualified technician when wiring is uncertain.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many settings are available?
Switches 1–3 give eight DIP preset combinations for the selected limiter mode. Switch 4 switches between speed-limited operation and the no preset rev-limit mode. Use the chart printed on the product for the required combinations.
Does this CDI work on a CG 6-pin DC ignition?
No. This listing is for a compatible CG 6-pin AC CDI system. Do not connect it to a DC ignition power feed.
Is this a 9-Curve CDI with nine ignition timing maps?
No. This CDI uses DIP switches for rev-limiter configuration. The MOREV digital 9-Curve CDI is a separate product with a different adjustment system.
Will it fit every 200cc or 250cc dirt bike?
No. Confirm the CG engine type, AC ignition power source, connector shape and all terminal connections against the original ignition module.

ASK ABOUT FITMENTWhat do the DIP positions change?
MOREV DIP-switch CDI settings select rev-limit modes; they do not select nine ignition timing curves. Consult the instructions supplied with your exact CDI version.
How do I verify compatibility?
Check AC/DC system type, original part information, connectors and wiring. Similar-looking plugs do not guarantee compatibility.
