MOREV GY6 6-Pin AC DIP Switch CDI Box with Adjustable Rev Limiter for 50–150cc ATV & Go Kart
Set your preferred ignition rev-limiter mode with the MOREV GY6 6-Pin AC DIP Switch CDI. Designed for selected GY6 50cc–150cc four-stroke engines using a compatible 6-pin (4+2) AC CDI system, this adjustable ignition module features a four-switch DIP bank, eight preset limiter selections and a mode without the module's selected electronic rev limit. It is intended for selected ATVs, go-karts, scooters, mopeds and buggies with the correct ignition wiring.
Selectable Rev Limiter and No Preset Rev-Limit Mode
DIP switches 1–3 select one of eight predefined rev-limiter configurations according to the chart on the CDI housing. DIP switch 4 selects between the speed-limit mode and a mode without this CDI's preset limiter setting. The product guide identifies the upper position of switch 4 as enabling speed-limit mode. Follow the supplied physical chart to select the required positions rather than guessing combinations.
The no preset rev-limit mode removes this module's selectable ignition-based limiter setting; it does not eliminate mechanical operating limits or make operation at excessive engine speed safe. Actual operation depends on the engine, ignition system, riding conditions and supporting components. This DIP-switch model controls selectable limiter settings and modes; it is not the separate MOREV digital 9-Curve CDI with nine adjustable timing maps.
How to Configure Your DIP Switch CDI
- Turn off the engine and ignition before accessing or adjusting the switch bank.
- Check the DIP Setting Guide printed on the module housing.
- Choose a preset using switches 1, 2 and 3, matching the diagram for that selection.
- Use switch 4 to choose the limited mode or no preset rev-limit mode.
- Confirm all switches are in the intended positions before installation; test safely after confirming compatibility.
Compatible GY6 Engines and Vehicles
For selected GY6 50cc, 125cc and 150cc four-stroke engines with matching GY6 six-pin AC CDI (4+2 connectors). Engine family references can include 139QMA, 139QMB, 152QMI and 157QMJ. Common applications include selected scooters, mopeds, ATVs, go-karts and buggies.
Fitment is conditional. Similar engine displacement, vehicle style, or connector appearance does not guarantee a fit. Before purchasing, compare your original CDI's AC ignition supply, its connector housings and latch positions, and every terminal connection. A GY6 DC CDI, a CG six-pin CDI, or a visually identical connector with different wiring is not a compatible replacement.

GY6 AC CDI Wiring Reference
The supplied terminal-side wiring diagram identifies the two connector blocks and their terminal positions: 1 pickup/trigger signal; 2 ignition coil output; 3 ground 1; 4 ground 2; 5 kill switch/engine stop; 6 AC ignition power input. On this GY6 AC-only CDI, terminal 6 must receive the correct stator exciter coil supply, not battery +12V DC. Both ground terminals must be correctly connected as required by the unit's wiring reference.
Important: The wiring illustration also explains how common AC and DC connector references may share a power-terminal position, but this specific product is AC ONLY. Never connect AC stator power and DC battery power simultaneously, and never feed battery DC power into this AC module. Wrong CDI type or pin assignments can cause no-start conditions or damage. Confirm the actual harness wiring and connector orientation before installation; consult a qualified technician if uncertain.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do DIP switches 1–4 do?
Switches 1–3 select among eight limiter presets, while switch 4 selects limited mode or no preset rev-limit mode. Refer to the setting guide on the housing for the exact switch positions.
Does this CDI work on a GY6 DC ignition?
No. This model is specifically for compatible GY6 six-pin AC ignition systems. DC-powered CDIs require a different model.
Does no preset rev-limit mode guarantee increased speed?
No. It changes how this CDI applies its selected electronic rev limit, not the mechanical capabilities or safe operating range of your engine.
Will it fit every GY6 150cc engine?
No. Check the AC ignition supply and matching six-pin 4+2 connector, latch orientation and terminal assignments before ordering.

GOOD TO KNOW.
Key details to check before choosing an electrical component.
ASK ABOUT FITMENTWhat do the DIP positions change?
MOREV DIP-switch CDI settings select rev-limit modes; they do not select nine ignition timing curves. Consult the instructions supplied with your exact CDI version.
How do I verify compatibility?
Check AC/DC system type, original part information, connectors and wiring. Similar-looking plugs do not guarantee compatibility.
