Adjust your CDI's electronic rev-limiter mode to match your riding setup. The MOREV CG 6-Pin DC DIP Switch CDI is designed for selected CG125–CG250 four-stroke vertical engines using a compatible 6-pin (4+2) battery-powered DC CDI ignition system. Its four-position DIP switch offers eight selectable rev-limiter presets and a separate mode without the module's selected electronic rev-limit restriction. It is suitable for select dirt bike, ATV and go-kart applications only when the ignition power supply, connectors and terminal assignments match.

DIP-Switch Adjustable Rev Limiter

Use switches 1–3 to select one of eight preset limiter settings from the chart printed on the back of the CDI. Switch 4 changes between the electronic speed-limit mode and the no preset rev-limit mode. The printed chart indicates the specified upper position of switch 4 activates speed-limit mode. Confirm each individual switch combination from your module's actual label.

No preset rev-limit mode means that this CDI does not apply its selectable DIP-programmed rev ceiling. This does not remove the engine's mechanical limits or ensure that an engine can operate safely at any speed. Effective operation depends on the pickup, ignition coil, power system, engine condition and other vehicle components. Unlike a MOREV digital 9-Curve CDI, this DIP model is for selecting rev-limiter settings and operating modes, not for choosing nine ignition timing curves.

How to Set the Four DIP Switches

1. Turn off the engine and ignition before adjusting the switch bank.
2. Read the DIP setting chart on the CDI's outer label.
3. Set switches 1, 2 and 3 to the desired preset combination shown in the chart.
4. Set switch 4 to choose speed-limited operation or no preset rev-limit mode.
5. Verify all four switch positions before installation and test only in a safe, controlled environment.

CG Engine and Vehicle Compatibility

Designed for selected CG125, CG150, CG200 and CG250 four-stroke vertical-cylinder engines equipped with a CG 6-pin DC CDI (4+2) harness. Reference engine codes may include 156FMI, 162FMJ, 163FML and 167FMM. Some TaoTao, Roketa, SunL and Coolster dirt bikes, ATVs and go-karts use related engine configurations, but model name, displacement and connector shape alone do not guarantee compatibility.

Before purchasing: compare your original CDI's power supply, connector shape, locking tabs and each terminal assignment. This version is designed for DC battery-powered ignition. It is not a substitute for a CG 6-pin AC CDI, and CG/GY6 6-pin plugs are not automatically interchangeable.

CG 6-Pin DC Wiring Reference and Safety

The supplied terminal-side connector diagram identifies terminal 1 as pickup/trigger signal, 2 as ignition coil output, 3 and 4 as grounds, 5 as kill switch/engine stop and 6 as the power input. On this DC-only model, terminal 6 must connect to the proper battery +12V DC ignition supply, not to the stator exciter AC power feed. Verify the actual connector orientation and vehicle harness before connection. Both ground terminals must be connected according to the product wiring reference.

Warning: The illustrated terminal map references common AC/DC connector positions, but this product is DC ONLY. Never connect the stator AC power and battery DC power together, and do not feed AC exciter power into this DC CDI. Incorrect wiring can cause a no-start condition, electrical malfunction or damage. Disconnect electrical power before installation and consult a qualified technician whenever the wiring is uncertain.
